Tattoo and Permanent Makeup Removal Solutions

Tattoo Removal

Laser tattoo removal involves the use of advanced laser technology to break down tattoo ink particles in the skin. During the procedure, the laser emits short pulses of light energy targeted at the tattoo, which is absorbed by the pigment. This causes the ink particles to fragment into smaller pieces, which are then naturally eliminated by the body's immune system over time. Multiple treatment sessions may be required to achieve the desired results, with each session spaced several weeks apart to allow the skin to heal. Laser tattoo removal is a safe and effective way to gradually fade and remove unwanted tattoos.

Permanent Make -Up Removal

Using cutting-edge laser technology, our treatments target the pigmented areas of permanent makeup, like microbladed eyebrows or lip liner, breaking down the pigment particles for gradual removal. During each session, the laser energy penetrates the skin to fragment the pigment, allowing your body's natural processes to gradually eliminate it over time. While the number of sessions required varies depending on factors such as the pigment's depth and color, our skilled technicians will work with you to create a customized treatment plan for optimal results. Unlike other removal methods, laser removal minimizes the risk of scarring and provides a safer, more effective solution.        Laser tattoo removal works by using specialized lasers to break down the ink particles in your tattoo. The laser emits concentrated light beams that are absorbed by the tattoo pigment, causing it to fragment into smaller particles. Over time, your body’s immune system naturally flushes out these tiny ink fragments, gradually fading the tattoo.

Multiple sessions (8 in average) are usually required for complete removal, spaced a few weeks apart to allow your skin to heal between treatments. While results can vary based on factors like tattoo size, color, and skin type, laser tattoo removal offers a safe and effective way to significantly reduce the appearance of unwanted tattoos.

At Everskin Laser Salon , our experienced team utilizes state-of-the-art laser technology to help you achieve the results you desire. Book a consultation today to learn more about how we can help you say goodbye to your unwanted ink!

Laser tattoo removal can be uncomfortable, but the level of pain varies depending on individual pain tolerance and the size, location, and colors of the tattoo being treated. Many people describe the sensation as similar to being snapped with a rubber band or experiencing a mild stinging or burning sensation.

To minimize discomfort during laser tattoo removal:

  1. Topical Anesthetics: At Everskin Laser Salon we offer topical numbing cream that can be applied to the skin before the procedure to help numb the area and reduce pain.
  2. Shorter Sessions: Breaking up the tattoo removal process into shorter sessions may help manage pain and allow for better tolerance.
  3. Communication: It’s important to communicate with your laser technician about any discomfort you’re experiencing during the procedure. They can adjust settings or techniques to make the experience more tolerable for you.

While laser tattoo removal can cause some discomfort, many people find the results worth it in the end. It’s essential to discuss any concerns about pain with your laser technician before starting the treatment so they can provide appropriate options for managing discomfort.

The number of sessions needed for laser tattoo removal varies depending on several factors, including:

  1. Size of the Tattoo: Larger tattoos generally require more sessions to remove completely compared to smaller tattoos.
  2. Color and Type of Ink: Some ink colors are more difficult to remove than others. Black ink usually responds best to laser treatment, while lighter colors like yellow and green may require more sessions.
  3. Depth of the Ink: Tattoos that are deeper in the skin may require more sessions to fully fade because the deeper layers of ink are more resistant to the laser.
  4. Skin Type: Different skin types react differently to laser treatment, which can affect the number of sessions needed.

On average, most tattoos require between 5 to 10 sessions for significant fading, but complete removal may require more sessions. Sessions are typically spaced about 4 to 8 weeks apart to allow the skin to heal and the body to flush out the fragmented ink particles.

During a consultation, a laser technician can assess your tattoo and provide a more accurate estimate of the number of sessions needed based on your specific tattoo characteristics and skin type.

Laser tattoo removal is generally safe when performed by a trained professional. However, like any medical procedure, there are potential side effects and risks to consider. Some of these include:
  1. Pain and Discomfort: During the procedure, you may experience some pain or discomfort, which can vary depending on your pain tolerance and the location of the tattoo.
  2. Skin Irritation: After laser treatment, you may experience temporary redness, swelling, itching, or blistering in the treated area. These side effects usually subside within a few days to a couple of weeks.
  3. Changes in Skin Texture or Pigmentation: In some cases, laser tattoo removal can cause changes in skin texture, such as scarring or textural irregularities. It can also lead to temporary or permanent changes in skin pigmentation, such as hypopigmentation (lightening of the skin) or hyperpigmentation (darkening of the skin).
  4. Incomplete Removal: While laser tattoo removal can significantly fade or remove tattoos, complete removal may not always be possible. Some ink colors, especially lighter colors, may be more resistant to laser treatment, resulting in incomplete removal.
  5. Infection: Although rare, there is a risk of infection following laser tattoo removal. It’s essential to follow post-treatment care instructions carefully to minimize this risk.
  6. Allergic Reactions: Some individuals may experience allergic reactions to the ink or other components used in the tattoo removal process.
  7. Delayed Healing: Certain factors, such as smoking, poor wound care, or underlying health conditions, can delay the healing process after laser tattoo removal.
It’s crucial to discuss potential risks and side effects with your laser technician or dermatologist before undergoing laser tattoo removal. They can provide you with personalized information based on your specific situation and help minimize the likelihood of adverse effects.

Tattoo removal is safe when conducted by experienced professionals using approved methods. However, it’s crucial to understand that there are potential risks involved, including skin irritation, pigmentation changes, and scarring. The safety of the procedure depends on various factors, including the type of tattoo, skin type, and the removal method used. Following post-care recommendations is a critical step!

1. Avoid sun exposure and self-tanning products in areas to be treated for 4 weeks prior.

2. Shave the treatment area if needed.

3. Avoid any irritant chemicals, soaps, or lotions on the day of treatment.

1. Keep the treated areas clean: Gently wash the area with mild soap and lukewarm water.

2. Pat dry the area with a clean towel.

3. Apply an antibiotic ointment such as polysporin.

4. Protect the treated area from the sun: Avoid exposing the treated area to direct sunlight or tanning beds, as this can increase the risk of complications hinter the healing process. Cover the area with clothing or apply a broad-spectrum sunscreen with a high SPF factor if you must go outside.

5. Avoid picking or scratching the area to prevent infection and scarring.

6. Moisturize the area regularly with a gentle, fragrance-free moisturizer.

7. Avoid activities and excessive sweating for a few days.

8. Attend follow-up appointments as scheduled.

Pregnancy or trying to get pregnant, breastfeeding, active skin infections such as herpes, impetigo, eczema, psoriasis, dermatitis, recent tan exposure or tanning, cancer, heart condition, asthma, recent cosmetic procedures such as botox or dermal fillers within 2 weeks, facial treatments such as chemical peels, IPL, microneedling,  history of keloid scarring, photosensitizing medications, acne medications such as Accutane within 6 months; stop using Isotretinoin, Retin-A or Retinol 2 weeks prior treatment.

Laser tattoo removal is not recommended during pregnancy due to potential risks to the developing fetus. The safety of laser procedures during pregnancy has not been thoroughly studied, and there is a lack of data on its effects on fetal development.

  • Increased skin sensitivity: Pregnancy hormones can make your skin more sensitive to light, which can increase the risk of scarring and pigmentation changes after laser treatment.
  • Risk of infection: Although the risk is low, laser tattoo removal can break the skin, which creates an opportunity for infection. Infections can be more serious during pregnancy.
  • Effects on the immune system: Pregnancy weakens the immune system as the body prioritizes the developing fetus. This can make it harder to fight off infection after laser treatment.

If you are pregnant and considering laser tattoo removal, it is best to wait until after you have given birth and are finished breastfeeding.

The maximum size of potentially removed tattoos is 8’x8′.

Why is that?

  1. Removing a large amount of ink all at once can flood the body with a significant amount of broken-down ink particles, potentially overwhelming the immune system’s ability to clear them efficiently.
  2. Removing a large tattoo in one session can result in a more extensive inflammatory reaction, which may strain the body’s resources and prolong the healing process.
  3. Overwhelming the immune system with a large amount of treated tissue can increase the risk of infection, as the body may struggle to mount an adequate defense against potential pathogens introduced during the removal process.
